Questions and Answers

  • Is half-board or full-board available?

    No, we follow the “Bed & Breakfast” concept. This means you will receive a generous breakfast with regional products every morning, and it is included in the room rate.

  • Is breakfast à la carte or is there a breakfast buffet?

    There is no breakfast buffet – breakfast is served in a “STORKS Box.” Everything your heart desires – from savory to sweet, and from healthy to vegetarian.

  • Why a breakfast box?

    We care about the environment – sustainability, especially regarding food, is very important to us. Additionally, this concept allows us to ensure maximum hygiene.

  • How long is breakfast available?

    Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

  • Free Parking

    Within walking distance from the hotel, you will find our free hotel parking spaces. Covered parking can be booked starting from €10 per day.

  • What are my options for getting to the hotel?

    You can arrive by car, either from the Salzburg side or the Carinthian side, both providing easy access to our hotel. Detailed signs will guide you to the hotel from both entrances to the town. Another option is arriving by train. Since Bad Hofgastein has its own train station, this is also a viable choice. You can also use an airplane as a means of transportation, with the nearest airports located in Salzburg (distance: 88 km), Klagenfurt (distance: 214 km), or Munich, Germany (distance: 255 km).

  • How can I make a reservation?

    You have the option to book either through our website: the-storks.com or by phone at +43 6432 27200.

  • What time can I check in, and what time do I need to check out?

    Check-in is available from 3:00 PM. Check-out is until 11:00 AM. Depending on availability and for an additional fee, you may have the option for an early check-in or late check-out.

  • Are pets allowed?

    No, pets are not allowed in our hotel.

  • Is there free Wi-Fi in the rooms?

    Yes, you will find free Wi-Fi in your room as well as in all our public areas.

  • What are the cancellation policies?

    These depend on the booked room rate and the respective season.

  • What payment methods are accepted?

    We accept credit cards (Visa and Mastercard), Maestro, instant bank transfer, and cash payments.

  • Do I need to pay in advance for a reservation?

    This depends on the booked room rate and the respective season.

  • Is there a place to store my ski equipment?

    Yes, there is a ski storage room on the ground floor. You are welcome to store your ski equipment there free of charge during your stay, but please note that we do not provide any guarantee for it.

  • What doors can be opened with the room card, and can I use it to enter and exit during the night?

    With the key card, you can access the hotel and your room at any time.

  • Do you offer a shuttle service to the train station or airport?

    We offer a shuttle service for a fee – please book this when making your room reservation, and you will receive information about the costs.

  • Where can bicycles be stored?

    In our hotel’s underground parking garage, which is within walking distance from the hotel.

  • How long is the reception open, and who should I contact in case of an emergency?

    The reception is open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM; for emergencies, you can reach us at +43 664 106 05 13.

  • When is The STORKS Bar & Café open?

    Mon & Tue: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wed – Sun: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

    Our rooms are accessible by elevator up to the third floor.
